What is the voucher solution?
On May 15th, 2020, the legislator responded to the critical situation in live entertainment with the voucher solution and passed a new law. This new law provides that promoters of a music, cultural, sports, or other recreational event that could not or cannot take place due to the corona pandemic may issue a voucher to the ticket holder of tickets purchased before March 8th, 2020 instead of issuing a refund.
Who issues the voucher?
If the promoter instructs us to carry out the voucher solution in his name, we take care of the handling. In this case you will receive a voucher from us on behalf of the promoter. In any case, your contract partner remains the promoter. Some promoters will take care of issuing the voucher themselves. In this case, too, we will provide you with all the necessary information by e-mail.
How do I request a refund for a voucher I haven't redeemed?
Please note that the vouchers issued as part of the voucher solution for cancelled events due to Covid-19 expire at the end of December 31st, 2024. In this context, payment claims for vouchers that have not been redeemed will also expire at the end of December 31st, 2024. It is therefore not possible to pay out the voucher values via Ticketmaster. Against this background, we can no longer accept requests for the payment of voucher values.
